Abraham The Man
Abraham The Man
ACCEPTED DATES OF MY BLOGS
A lot we know, but a lot is not told, for instance why the Book of ESTHER was not part of the BIBLE Compilation. Before we continue along ABRAHAM’S journey, allow us to meet his dad TERAH, and the rest of his family, where I think the story about THE MAN ABRAHAM, starts.
TERAH’S parents were SERUG and IJASKA. TERAH’S four known children are:
NAHOR his mother is not reported, he was born in BAGHDAD. He married MILCAH the daughter, of HARAN and sister to LOT. He was the father of so many, including BETHUEL | the father of REBEKAH and LABAN
HARAN his mother is also not reported, he was born in UR-KASDIM – IRAQ. The father of LOT. LOT was the father of MOAB and AMMON.
ABRAHAM his mother was AMATHIAL, he was born in UR of CHALDEA. The father of ISHMAEL and ISAAC, plus seven others. AMATHIAL, the mother of ABRAHAM was not the lady mentioned in the BLOG of ‘THE GIRL NAMED ESTHER.’
SARAI her mother is not reported, she was born in UR of CHALDEA. SARAI, was the Mother of ISAAC who married REBEKAH, the daughter of NAHOR.
REBEKAH + ISAAC the parents of ESAU and JACOB
- ESAU, the ‘father’ of the EDOMITE TRIBE | HITTITES | HIVITE
- JACOB, the ‘father’ of the Twelve Tribes of ISRAEL
This is where we see that ESAU and JACOB, never got to see eye-to-eye, and we see the effects of this in the life of ABRAHAM himself, but especially in the life of MOSES and others as our DATE LINE will reveal.
ABRAM and SARAI, after a covenant with GOD, became known as ABRAHAM and SARAH, SARAH meaning ‘princess.’ They travelled from UR, present day IRAQ, with their family, TERAH, ABRAHAM’S, dad, and their brothers and sisters and others. It is believed that they only married before leaving CANAAN (PALESTINE). TERAH, died at HARAN. But they were together since they left UR of the CHALDEANS. We follow SARAH’S DATELINE 1 986 BCE – 1 859 BCE, she died at the age of 127 Years.
She is buried at KIRYAT ARBA in HEBRON along with her son ISAAC his wife REBEKAH, their son JACOB and his wife LEAH, and the head of ESAU. ABRAHAM, bought this site from EPHRON, the HITTITE. This was the only piece of property ABRAHAM owned. He is also buried there along with his family, except ISHMAEL.
When SARAH and ABRAHAM got to EGYPT, SARAH was 65 Years old. It was the year 1 921 BCE, and this is when the ISRAELITES got to own GOSHEN. The PHAROAH, had given all the assets of GOSHEN to SARAH as her ‘HEREDITARY LAND.’ The giving of the land to SARAH, remains a puzzle, as I could not find the ‘true reasons’ of the PHAROAH, for such a gift, other than it was part of GOD’S Plan. We see later along the DATE LINE, how important the ownership of that piece of land in EGYPT becomes, for those who followed in their footsteps.
We know that ABRAHAM told the PHAROAH and KING GERAR, that SARAH, was his sister and he was not wrong, she was in deed his sister, he just did not finish his sentence “she is also my wife”
What ABRAHAM did not tell us was that he had a distant cousin, HAMAN, on his mother’s side. It is reported that he was ABRAHAM’S brother, but the DATELINE is off, so he could only have been his cousin. Now this guy has an interesting story to tell, and it was there in front of us all the time, just not in the BIBLE, but in the BOOK OF ESTHER.
His brother’s father was HAMMEDATHA, the AGAGITE, AGAG, seem to be a title and not a people, not recorded, but linked to a king by that name. Nothing is known about him.
Back on our journey of HAMAN. He became an officer in the Courts of the PERSIAN EMPIRE under king AHASUERUS, or XERXES. HAMAN was an ASTROLOGER, and an enemy of the JEWS, and he promised to cast ‘LOTS’ on all the JEWS in all the PROMISED LANDS and destroy them.
So, what does ‘cast LOTS’ mean? Legally, it means that ‘to make up your mind to do good,’ but HAMAN, turns the WORDS to mean evil, and he CASTS LOTS, on the JEWS as to when to fix the time for the genocide of the JEWS, as to which day of the week to ‘act’ – this was an evil deed and a twist of the use of a language. . . we do it all the time and so did the writers of our BIBLES. But the good news is that the Jews took revenge on HAMAN, and he was hung, on the same gallows he prepared to hang MORDECAI. So, he never got the pleasure of killing any Jews.
In my mind, this is the story the BIBLE ‘PEOPLE,’ and the churches did not want us to know. Nobody, especially not ABRAHAM, could be held liable for his stepbrother’s thoughts, desires, and actions. ABRAHAM definitely could not go up against the mighty army of king XERXES.
Now we journey along, and we look at ABRAHAM’S wife, SARAH. She dies at the age of 127 years, when ABRAHAM could have been 137 years old, he marries KETURAH, three years after her death. Could KETURAH have been HAGAR? ABRAHAM dies at the age of 175 Years, meaning that in 38 years, this old fella had six more children – but rumour has it that they, ABRAHAM, and HAGAR, got together when he was 85 years old, and that he only married her after SARAH died. Let us take a walk . . . .
- ABRAHAM born in 1 996 BCE, age 86 he has ISHMAEL, in the year 1 910 BCE | when ABRAHAM dies ISHMAEL is 89 Years old.
- ISHMAEL born in 1 910 BCE, dies at the age of 137 years in the year 1 914 BCE.
- ABRAHAM born in 1 996 BCE, age 100 he has ISAAC, in the year 1 896 BCE | when ABRAHAM dies ISAAC is 75 Years old.
- ISAAC born in 1 896 BCE, one hundred years after his father ABRAHAM | ISAAC died in 1 860 BCE, after living for 180 years | he was married to REBECCA, and they had twins – JACOB and ESAU, born in 1 836 BCE | these boys battled each other from birth to after THEIR DEATH.
- ABRAHAM and KETURAH had six children, one was MIDIAN, who also had six children, but one of his sons was EPHER, and it is reported that he ‘took’ LIBYA. All six children’s nationality was IRAQI. Not sure why their NATIONALITY was IRAQI, but what is clear, is that KETURAH was HAGAR, who honoured her relationship with ABRAHAM and like ABRAM AND SARA, she converts and becomes KETRURAH.
ABRAHAM, tried very hard to keep his sons from marrying outside of the lands of PADDAM ARAM, but it did not happen – and especially his grandchildren. He might have been dead or too old, or too far away to have any influence as to whom they ended up marrying.
ESAU, was killed at the grave site of JACOB, when HUSHIM, the son of DAN, the son of JACOB killed him for wanting to stop the burial of JACOB in a GRAVE SITE. ABRAHAM bought years earlier. ESAU, gave his inheritance back to his father, who in turn gave it to his brother JACOB. HUSHIM, knocks ESAU’S head clean off his body and his head rolls into the CAVE, and the brothers end up sharing the CAVE GRAVE, but it is reported that only ESAU’S head ended up in the CAVE. What a mess, when you cannot accept your position in life, or within the family or even team mates. It messes with your entire life.
We need to learn to ignore the noises which interferes with the feelings of being alive on EARTH and within our family circles. . . it just results in ‘road blocks’ as we grow old. .
ESAU, he hated the fact that his mother loved his brother over him
ESAU, married outside of their religion and becomes an enemy of ISRAEL. His son ELIPHAZ, became the head of the EDOMITES, and it was he who did not want MOSES to pass. During the ensuing war, they were destroyed by CALEB’S son, ELAH.
- First ESAU, marries, JUDITH, the daughter of BEERI the HITTITE
- Their children were, OMAR, HATAM, TEMAN, ZEPHO, GATAM and KENAZ,
- Secondly, he then marries, MAHALATH, the daughter of ISHMAEL.
- Their children were, REUEL, NAHATH, ZERAH, SHAMMAH, MIZZAN, and ELIPHAZ
- His third marriage is with ADAH, the daughter of ELON, this HITTITE.
- Their child was, AMALEK – the son of ELIPHAZ, son of ESAU | Ancestral enemy of ISRAEL.
- Finally, he marries AHOLIBAMAH, the daughter of ANAH, daughter of ZIBEON the HIVITE.
- Their children were, JEUSH, JAALAM, and KORAH, they were HIVITES.
JACOB was loved by his mother over ESAU, and this is where it all started to go wrong for these boys. All of JACOBS, children were ISRAELITES, and it is sad that I could not say the same of his grandchildren.
- JACOB, first married LEAH, she was the unloved wife. They had seven children as recorded. She was the daughter of LABAN, the brother of REBEKAH, wife of ISAAC.
- LEAH and JACOB had seven children, JUDAH, REUBEN, SIMEON, LEVI, ISSACHAR, and ZEBULUN and also DINAH.
- LEAH, gave her servant ZILPHA to JACOB, they had four children – DAN, ASHER, NAPHTALI, and GAD.
- LEAH, was also the sister of RACHEL. RACHEL, was barren, but JACOB was in love with her.
- RACHEL, gives her servant BILHAH, to JACOB, and they had two sons, NAPHTALI, and DAN.
- RACHEL and JACOB, are blessed by GOD, and they have two sons, JOSEPH, and BENJAMIN.
- BILHAH, had sex with REUBEN, the eldest son of JACOB with LEAH. He was punished and on the deathbed of his father, JACOB, REUBEN’S inheritance was as the first born.
- REUBEN, unfortunately, upsets the family more when he married ELIURAM, the daughter of EWI, the CANAANITE.
- REUBEN, born in 1 569 BCE in PADDAM Aram, which is HARAN, situated on the BALIK RIVER. REUBEN married ELIURAM, they have four children, not much is known about three of them, one PALLU, who has a son named ELIAB. Both SAUL and SAMUEL, did consider ELIAB to succeed SAUL, but it did not happen, and our DAVID became king after SAUL.
- SIMEON, born in 1 568 BCE in PADDAM ARAM – the DATELINE of DINAH’S birth is my bother which is reported to be 1 700 BCE, but SIMEON, did live a very long life, either 120 years or as much as 127 years.
- SIMEON’S total number of children were seven, JAKIN with DINAH, JAMIN, JEMUEL, OHAD, ZOHAR JACHIN and SAUL (SHAUL) with DINAH.
- JUDAH, born in 1 566 BCE in PADDAM ARAM
- LEVI, we do not have his year of Birth, but he died in 1 429 BCE.
- ISSACHAR, not much is known about him, sorry.
- ZEBULUN, again not much is known about him also.
- DINAH, their daughter.
- What I found is that she married, SIMEON, her uncle, they had JAKIN and SAUL. It is reported that she had three daughters with JOB, by the names of KEZIAH, JEMINA and KEREN-HUPPUCH.
- Both men, SIMEON and JOB had other children.
A quick look at ABRAHAM, himself, and we see that he grew up in UR of the CHALDEANS, a very busy harbour town, where they worshipped idols. ABRAHAM was a convicted GOD-FEARING person from birth. To him there was only ONE GOD, so he could not have been comfortable living in UR of the CHALDEANS. I could not find how old he was when he left UR, nor what he did from birth to the time he left UR of the CHALDEANS. What we do know is it was at the tail end of the 300-year dry spell and famine was definitely the ‘name of the game.’
ABRAHAM and his caravan spoke ARAMAIC, the language of GOD and JESUS.
EGYPT spoke the language referred to as MIDDLE EGYPTIAN LANGUAGE.
So, when ABRAHAM and his caravan decided to travel to EGYPT, I could not find how they planned to communicate with the EGYPTIANS. Not, even how he got to know about EGYPT, other than learning from fellow travellers along the various TRADE ROUTES they travelled along.
For now, he starts his journey and travel up along the inside of the river EUPHRATES. At BABYLON he crossed over the EUPHRATES and journeyed onto HARAN. Then leaving HARAN, he starts his long, very long journey a distance of 8 043 Kilometres, to EGYPT and up into Northern ISRAEL. We are told that he left there at the age of Seventy-five, however my calculations indicate an age of Sixty-three when he left HARAN. . . . why bother to fix that date. . . I am just saying
I believe that he must have studied under the CHALDEANS, and we will journey to understand what ABRAHAM learned from them to prepare him for his journey from UR to HARAN then onto DAMASCUS. Then journey on through the SINAI to GOSHEN in EGYPT and eventually back again to JERUSALEM. Where he walks into a fight at CHEDORLAOMER, with the cities of SODOM, GOMORRAH, ADMAH, ZEBOLIM, and ZOAR, known as the battle with the Five Kings, to free LOT. They also encountered a tussle with KING GERAR, of ABIMELECH. And what is clear is that ABRAHAM never got to rest in the PROMISE LAND, by the time he died.
DENISE
I think ABRAHAM left SUMER and journeyed through NINEVEH or was he in NINEVEH all the time. What puzzles me is that GOD tells him to go to CANAAN. Then GOD changes HIS mind by creating a FAMINE in the land of CANAAN. ABRAHAM is then forced to march onto EGYPT.
How often does GOD change HIS mind about our personal journeys? I believe that HE does more often than not, when HE can ‘see’ we will need protection from proposed evil as the landscapes and people such as NIMROD could harm us. GOD then gets to set safer paths for us, and then he SMILES. How often do we THANK GOD. All we can say is ‘it is what life offers us’ – silly us, we should acknowledge GOD more often in our lives.
