Looking at the time of the day, I wondered if ABRAHAM, truly walked all the way to EGYPT, So let us have a look at the Landscape of the LANDS during those ancient times.

Amongst all, this journey got me to struggle to find GOD’S LOVE for the ‘people’ HE created on EARTH. I accept punishment, but the ‘instruction’ to kill, and to kill all, women, and children? I am not sure if the translators of the papyrus’ found, might have translated certain words and sentences wrong. But in my heart I cannot ‘see’ this, what is termed ‘brutality’ coming from GOD. BUT let us allow history to tell us what was, as written, or not.

It is written that the following Cities or Tribes were descendants of HAM or his children, CUSH, MIZRAIM, PHUT and CANAAN. What we found is that this family settled in the desert of NUBIA, ETHIOPIA, and ERITREA.

It is said that the twelve tribes of CANAAN, the man, son of HAM were as follows. SIDON ● HETH ● JEBUSITES, who is said to be the AMORITES ● GIRGASHITES ● HIVITES ● ARKITES ● SINITES ● ARVADITES ● ZEMARITES ● HAMATHITES.

SIDON, today the third largest city of LEBANON. The word means ‘FISHERY’ or FISHING TOWN. This town dates back to 1 550 BCE – 1 069 BCE – during the EGYPTIAN ERA of their NEW KINGDOM. Possible a settlement of CANAAN, but not what he created.

HITTITES, they were the children of HETH, the son of CANAAN, and it appears that he was the founder and ancestor of the HITTITES, but they settled in HEBRON.

The following ‘cities’ on the HAM and CANAAN Ancestors Lists could not be linked to HAM or his son CANAAN but to SYRIA, which was created by our ANCIENT COUSINS during the NEOLITHIC PERIOD (STONE AGE) around the year 10 000 BCE. SYRIA was then the centre of the NEOLITHIC PERIOD at MARDIKH, situated near ALEPPO and it was known as the KINGDOM OF EBLA.

The cities listed and disputed are JEBUSITES ● AMORITES ● GIRGASHITES ● HIVITES ● ARKITES or ARQA ● SINITES ● ARVADITES ● ZEMARITES ● HAMATHITES.

It is said that the family spread across the LAND from SIDON in the direction of GERAR, as far as GAZA and in the direction of SODOM, GOMORRAH, ADMAH and ZEBOIIM as far as LASHA. Well, I do not find this impossible. However, this had to have happened over many generations.

ABRAHAM, arrives at SHECHEM, in ancient CANAAN and today Central ISRAEL, a distance of 112 kms from JERUSALEM. It is said that GOD appears to him in his sleep and says, “to your off-spring, I will give you ‘this land.” He believes that GOD also said that the land was from the river of EGYPT to the EUPHRATES, known as the land of the KENITES.

What our research tells us is that the KENITES, were metalsmiths, related to the MIDIANITES. They applied their trade while traveling in the region of ARABAH, the desert valley from the SEA of GALILEE to the GULF of AQABA, from around 1 300 BCE to 900 BCE. A bit late for ABRAHAM’S dream. This was the land of JETHRO, son of ESAU, father-in-law of MOSES who was a KENITE.

I do not doubt that GOD spoke to ABRAHAM or even us. ABRAHAM is highly respected by me for he was the FIRST TO BELIEVE THAT THERE WAS ONLY ONE GOD, and he got my attention very early, over twenty years ago, when I started the ANCIENT DATELINE research.

A turn in the story of our journey, GENESIS 15:16, GOD tells ABRAHAM that he has to wait four generations before he gets to inherit ‘THE SAID LAND,’ as the ‘sins of the AMORITES are not yet complete.’ If we wish to be cynical, we can easily say that ABRAHAM, just lost his inheritance.

Four generations during the ANCIENT DATELINE, when they lived way past 130 years, would mean that ABRAHAM could only get to ‘own’ the land GOD ‘gave’ him about 520 years hence. ABRAHAM only lived 175 years. Before we take a look at the effects of this ‘offer’ and ‘no offer’ by GOD, we take a look as to who the AMORITES were and why they had upset GOD.

What we know about the AMORITES, is that they were GIANTS. They have a point of reference in MESOPOTAMIA as well as in SYRIA. What I understand of the story is that they were a flock of herders, living in the mountains of IRAN and also NORTHERN SYRIA. Around 4 400 BCE they arrive in MESOPOTAMIA and around 3 400 BCE to around 2 000 BCE they arrived and lived in SYRIA, and expanded into Central and Northern SYRIA proper.

It is reported that they changed the landscapes of the lands referred to as CANAAN. They destroyed what was established by the Indigenous people and proceeded to build new Dynasties. They were not nice people and certainly caused a lot of disturbances.

They disrupted the existence of the AKKADIANS and BABYLONIANS alike.

They followed no burial rituals and were wild living. OG OF BASHAN, was 1.8 meters tall (Deuteronomy 3:11) and was an AMORITE and lived in the land of CANAAN. They were wicked, sinful, and evil. They contaminated ISRAEL over a long period, up to the time of the JUDGES. Now we know why GOD had to put an end to them, but more, GOD did not want ABRAHAM to be contaminated by their evil ways.

Back to our journey of ABRAHAM into EGYPT. He did march through the land of CANAAN, ISRAEL and down to EGYPT. We accept our findings, but we take a look at the borders of the lands he travelled through during those ANCIENT TIMES.

In 2 500 BCE, the OLD KINGDOM OF EGYPT rose to power around the narrow VALLEY OF THE NILE, by a battle won by KING MENES, and the CAPITAL was at MEMPHIS. EGYPT’S border was short of the SINAI DESERT, down to the town of ELEPHANTINE and on the east, it was just short of LIBYA.

ABRAHAM was born in 1 996 BCE and died in 1 821 BCE, believing that he was in EGYPT around 1 911 BCE. However, It appears that his journey out of HARAN started around 1 926 BCE. It is clear that there is more to our ABRAHAM through the land of CANAAN. A journey we need to take to see, on the ground, hopefully we can find more stories about ABRAHAM’S TRAVELS.

A bit of a re-cap. MOSES, was in EGYPT from birth in 1 513 BCE until his exit around 1 476 BCE, as EGYPT was going through a 1 000-year change, and we see the creation of the MIDDLE KINGDOM from around 2 050 BCE to about 1 650 BCE. Also, the creation of the NEW KINGDOM, around 1 550 BCE to 1 070 BCE.

During the period of the MIDDLE KINGDOM, we see EGYPT’S borders expanded. This time right into the SINAI into ISRAEL, but not yet into the land known as CANAAN. In the south it expanded into the NUBIA Desert, and we know that MOSES assisted in some of their battles with those ANCIENT KINGDOMS.

Then during the NEW KINGDOM, EGYPT’S borders expanded further. This time into PALESTINE and SYRIA, meaning ISRAEL and CANAAN. Again, we saw that MOSES helped EGYPT to fight their battles. The NEW KINGDOM of EGYPT, was the period of construction of the GREAT TEMPLE at LUXOR and in the VALLEY of the KINGS, at the time of  TUTANKHAMEN, HATSHEPUT and RAMSES II THE GREAT.

I can only say that the writers of old, did not have much to go by and so the borders and lands were mixed and due to the various conflicts of these evolving cities and countries, so were the ‘stories’ not properly recorded for those writers to find, so they wrote what was passed down from word-to-mouth.

An example is that when they did not know the ‘area’ they simply called it AETHIOPIA or ETHIOPIA, even central ARABIA was referred to as ETHIOPIA – we can only forgive them I think that CANAAN and even AMORITE were being switched or not the correct DATELINE was followed, so the story was confused . . . but we journey on along our researched ANCIENT DATE LINE.

ABRAHAM was convicted that there was only ONE GOD. He was just so convicted that the CANAANITES were not good people, as he would not let his son ISAAC marry any woman who was a descendant of CANAAN. He sends his servant to HARAN to find ISAAC a wife. He mentions nothing about a wife for ISHMAEL though. But REBECCA follows in the same choices for her son JACOB. That he must marry a wife from HARAN. A little scandal. JACOB had his eye on a daughter of HETH, the son of CANAAN, the son of HAM. But when he met RACHEL the daughter of LABAN, the son of NAHOR, the son of TERAH and the brother of ABRAHAM, his ‘eye’ was turned. Unfortunately, he ends up with her sister LEAH and they had many children.
