Today I start our journey, by taking a look at OUR GIANTS ‘FROM HEAVEN THEY CAME.’ Some say that they were evil, others say that they were GOD’S SONS. JOSHUA refers to them as ‘SONS OF ANAK.’ What I know is that they were around on earth during the time of NOAH, and then they reappeared during the time of MOSES – an approximate period of 1 670 years.

Our Bible writers, such as the VULGATE TEAM, calls them ARAPHA, and others refer to them as HARAPHA, which simply means GIANTS.

DEUTERONOMY, JOSHUA and also NUMBERS refers to them as the ‘SONS OF ANAK.’ The father of ANAK, a nomad race of GIANTS descendent from ARBA. JOSHUA, seems to have admired ARBA, as he also refers to him as the ‘greatest man amongst the ANAKITES.’ ARBA’s Grand-Children were AHIMAN SHESHAI, TALMAI, who JOSHUA, and CALEB, fought against and eventually chased them out of the PROMISED LAND into PALESTINE and PHILISTINE.

I need to remember that HAM’S Grandchild was CANAAN, who was the founder of the land by that name. Later it was said by MOSES that, that was the LAND GOD GAVE them. They then refered to it as the PROMISED LAND. Here I see, MODERN MAN killing off what was created by GOD or were they cursed by GOD. Was it because HAM married a forbidden race? Or that they worshipped three strange gods. Did they lose their way, from the teachings of their Great-Great-Grand Uncle, SHEM? Time to think. . . should the latter be the case, then I understand and accept GOD’S INSTRUCTION.

They lived in Southern PALESTINE near HEBRON, which was then known as KIRJATH-ARAB, a CUSHITE TRIBE, of the same race as the PHILISTINE and EGYPTIANS.

Let us take a good few steps back in time, and we visit NOAH, born in 2 954 BCE and died around 2 004 BCE, he married EMZARA, the daughter of RAKEL, and Grand-Daughter to METHUSELAH and EDNA.

Their first born was SHEM, and he married SEDEQETELEBAB, the daughter of ELIAKIM, the son of METHUSELAH. Then there was JAPHETH, NOAH’s other son, who married ADATANESES, the other daughter of ELIAKIM, also Grand-Daughter to METHUSELAH. But NOAH’s son HAM, married outside of the family, he married into a forbidden race/nation. He married a NEPHILIM, and her name was NE’ELATAMA’UK.

What I saw is that HAM and NE’ELATAMA’UK had a few children, CANAAN, CUSH, MIZRAIM and PUT. These children went off and established themselves in towns and cities named after them.

Then there were the Great-Grand-Children of METHUSELAH, who were known to be nations of mighty men. They were GIANTS, it was said about NIMROD, HETH, ANAMIM, PARTHRUSIM, RAAMAH, SABTAH, SABETECAN, ARK, SIN, AMOR, and HAVILAH.

Let us take a look at the word NEPHILIM, and it means ‘violent’, and these GIANTS were referred to as the ‘Violent Tyrants’ or ‘Wonder’ also ‘Monsters’ also ‘Prodigies.’ These were the names given to the CANAANITISH TRIBE, a race of LARGE STATURE, the sons of ANAK. We see that AMOS, refers to them as SONS OF GOD. JOSHUA, 1 and 2 SAMUEL, refer to them as descendants of RAPHA.

MOSES, was first married to THABIS, a descendant of HAM, a NEPHILIM within NUBIA. Next he was married to ZIPPORAH, a CUSHITE, and that means she was related to the son of HAM, a family of NEPHILIM’S. Along our journey we will get to look at their children, GERSHOM, and ELIEZER.

A question about MOSES. Why was his nationality ISRAELITE, when he was born in GOSHEN, LOWER ANCIENT EGYPT? We know that GOSHEN’S Title was given to SARAH, ABRAHAM’S wife of all those years earlier, but did it change its LAND of ORIGIN or STATUS?

MOSES,’ dad was AMRAM. AMRAM was born in EGYPT, his dad was KEHATH, a son of LEVI. LEVI was born in PADDAM ARAM (HARAN). His parents were JACOB and LEAH. MOSES’S mum was JOCHEBED, the sister of KEHATH, and she was also born in EGYPT.

Back to our journey of the GIANTS, and i see that the RAPHAIM, lived EAST of JORDAN, from where OG descended. OG of BASHAN, was an AMORITE KING, who was believed to be four metres tall. It is said that MOSES slew him. This I do not believe.

By then MOSES, was too old and had given the leadership to both JOSHUA, son of NUN, who was 85-years old, and CALEB, the son of JEPHUNNEH, a KENIZZITE, who was 45-years old, when they marched onto OG’s land. I do not believe that OG was an AMORITE, as the OG’S LAND as the story leads us, was in CANAAN, not MESOPOTAMIA.

They fought and won against the people of the said land in the year 1 400 BCE – why? Because these GIANTS did not want them to pass through their land for them to get to HEBRON or JERUSALEM.

A DATELINE puzzle to share. Some say MOSES’S DATELINE is 1 391 – 1 271 BCE, we know he lived for 120 years. JEROME, says that his DATELINE is 1 592 – 1 472 BCE, news for JEROME, is that the war happened in 1 400 BCE, which simply means that MOSES, was already dead. The same goes for JAMES USSHER, he reports that MOSES’S DATELINE is 1 571 – 1 451 BCE, again MOSES would have been dead.

Back to our journey, MOSES, JOSHUA, and CALEB travelled through the ‘middle’ of the land to go north. I found that GOD, chose their path of travel, yep, HE did not want them to travel through PALESTINE or PHILISTINE and get to meet up with those GIANTS. However, those GIANTS had by then relocated themselves as far as the land EAST OF THE JORDAN.

So whatever path or TRADE ROUTE, they travelled on to get ‘home,’ they simply had to come face to face and do their best to annihilate them, as instructed. My thoughts are that these GIANTS were too TALL to fight the average sized man. They were clumsy and that is why both JOSHUA and CALEB knocked them to size During the two war locations known as The BATTLE OF JAHAZ with SIHON, they then took the land as GOD INSTRUCTED them.

I do not like the way the BIBLE, describes these ‘wars’ on these cities. MOSES, JOSHUA and CALEB’S armies proceeded to destroy every living person, their cities, men, women and children and the land from AROER situated at the edge of the valley of ARNON as far as GILEAD. They left the sons of AMMON on the banks of the RIVER JABBAK,’ not nice.

Back on our journey, and I looked closer at the war JOSHUA fought. JOSHUA goes to war with the ANAKIM, takes ‘some’ of their land, and leaves some of them to live on in GAZA, GATH, and ASHDOD. We do know that GOLIATH, and his brothers were from GATH.

JOSHUA knew that the instruction was to ‘destroy’ them. He allows them to live on in GAZA, GATH, and ASHDOD. I wonder, if this could have been why GOD never allowed peace within these areas even to these years? Did JOSHUA, upset GOD so much?

I wonder, how much I could be upsetting GOD daily with my silly lighthearted take on the choices I made throughout my life!! Remember GOD promised them rest, but they never earned it, they disobeyed GOD’s INSTRUCTION. How many of us do not have rest from the noises of this world. It is time I start to look at GOD’s INSTRUCTION for my remaining life here on EARTH.

Now I am sure, like me, you are wondering what happened after JOSHUA, left them in this new land of PHILISTINE. We see that these GIANTS aligned themselves with each other, became a strong nation. We see that SAUL also feared them.

A look ahead, at the battle between DAVID and GOLIATH, when DAVID was either fifteen or nineteen years old. The killings never stopped. ABISHAI, the son of ZERUIAH, DAVID’S brother, killed ISHBIBENOB, a GIANT, who helped to kill ABSALOM. Then SIBBECAI, one of DAVID’S 30 MIGHTY MEN, kills SIPPAI LAHMI, a family member, but a warrior of GOLIATH. Then the fighting seems to slow down when JONATHAN, son of KING SAUL and a friend of DAVID’S kills GOLIATH of GITTITE , the brother of our known GOLIATH.

At this point on our journey, our past, takes on a different look, and I feel the need to share, with you. The BOOKS of the BIBLE were written, and re-written, long after the death of the person or persons, it talks about and further edited by many. It is said that JOSHUA died at the age of 110 years in the year 1 394 BCE. The battle with the GIANTS took place in the year 1 400 BCE, about six years before he died. As reported earlier, his age was 45 years during those battles, meaning that the reported dates are so off . . . (no cross referencing but I will correct all.)

I further discovered that the BOOKS of SAMUEL and DEUTERONOMY were written between the years 597 BCE and 539 BCE, during the BABYLONIAN CAPTIVITY or EXILE, about ONE THOUSAND years after the ‘fact’.

A fact about JOSHUA. He found MOSES, a worthy MENTOR, who taught him to pray in a personal manner. If you are alive, you are a MENTOR, someone is always watching, our entire lives are on display, and in my opinion, we should get to learn to live our livesin a more personal ‘praying’ manner to find GOD’S ear, or favor . . . . look who is talking . . . !
