JESUS AND THE QUMRAN COMMUNITY

WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THEIR PROCEDURES

A CONTROVERSIAL ‘TAKE’ ON THE JESUS EVERYBODY KNOWS AND LOVES
THIS IS HISTORY AS IT TOOK PLACE ‘BEFORE’ THE ROMANS WALKED INTO OUR ‘CHRISTIAN’ LIVES

What I found was that JESUS was an immensely powerful and uniquely impressive individual, and just how I understand GOD wants us all to be. All that is asked of us, is to apply our GOD GIVEN GIFTS. We need to FIND it and get to apply it into our LIVES –

My understanding is that our Dates of Births are our ‘seasons’ GOD bestowed on us. We cannot in the end stand before GOD and say we did not know.

What was revealed is that his ministry was only three (some say only one) years of his life on earth.

What is surprising is to have found that JESUS and JAMES disagreed more than we can imagine. Some refer to their disagreements to be filled with bitterness and POLITICAL infighting. Everything points to this.

JESUS, was known by his contemporary name, YAHOSHUA BEN JOSEPH. He did not accept this, as ‘ben’ means ‘son of.’ JESUS believed in GOD, his FATHER and believed in the saying, “call no man father on earth.“ This made JESUS a deeply unpopular man in JERUSALEM and amongst the QUMRAN Community.

JESUS’ agenda was much more radical than his family would have liked. This we knew for a long time. Unfortunately, the QUMRANIANS did not understand JESUS either. Hence the reason most people backed JAMES. We find that even MARY and JOSEPH his parents ‘backed’ JAMES.

We do believe that JESUS observed the same SECTARIAN RULES as JOHN THE BAPTIST. However, when he lost the PRIESTLY MESSIAH, to JAMES, JESUS’s strategy became more ‘radical.’

He decided it was better to break the law for the good of the nation – and we will get to see what this meant.

JESUS realised that the battle with the ROMANS and their supporters was close and he believed that he had the best chance of winning the WAR FOR GOD.

The QUMRANIANS were happy for JESUS to be the LEFT-HAND PILLAR of MISHPAT, making him the KINGLY MESSIAH or KING OF THE JEWS in waiting. But they did not accept him as the RIGHTHAND PILLAR as well. They wanted JAMES THE JUST to occupy the RIGHT HAND PILLAR. What is clear, is that they did not get to understand the urgency of JESUS’ strategy to ‘fight’ the ROMANS. Why he needed to be both PILLARS.

“The BIBLE says that JESUS will sit on the RIGHT HAND of GOD the FATHER,” which meant that he is the LEFT-HAND PILLAR. When one faces GOD looking WEST through his TEMPLE DOOR, GOD will be facing out toward the EAST with the MISHPAT PILLAR to his RIGHT.

“MISHPAT equals JEWISH LAW or just the LAWS that are relevant to non-religious or secular Law. It excludes certain areas that are not comparable to ‘modern civil’ law, such as ‘criminal law but also religious law” – it is to me simply THE WAY YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE.

SOLOMON implied this in the building of his TEMPLE with the pillar of BOAZ and JACHIM “The LEFT-HAND PILLAR of KING SOLOMON’S Temple has special significance – both LEFT-HAND and RIGHT-HAND pillars are recreated in the ‘lodge’ – the LEFT-HAND PILLAR is called BOAZ, named after the grandfather of DAVID, king of ISRAEL, which represents STRENGTH.

The RIGHT-HAND PILLAR is JACHIM, the name of the high priest who assisted at the dedication of this section of the TEMPLE at JERUSALEM, which represents STABILITY. “

It appears that JAMES THE JUST told his brother, JESUS, that he was not worthy of being holy enough to become both PILLARS in the church at QUMRAN.

Then JESUS stepped up and he said that he will be both. The TWO EARTHLY CONNECTIONS in the ‘HOLY TRINITY’ that had GOD at the APEX.

We need to remember that this was ‘another’ period in time – SOLOMON born in 1 010 BCE and JESUS in 4 BCE. Was this GOD’s MESSAGE to JESUS to utter those words? And what did it mean to us?

But we must remember that ADAM got SETH to write a note which he said only ‘SOLOMON’ will be ’able’ to read 2 000 Years hence …… THIS TO ME IS GOD’S PRESENCE in our LIVES ON EARTH.

What did the ROMANS do with this information? They CAPITALIZED on it. They ‘picked up the importance of the godly trinity from the Jerusalem Church. It seems possible that they may have mistranslated it!! – JESUS the CHRIST did claim to be both EARTHLY PARTS (PILLARS) of the TRIANGLE and we could see how the confusion could have arisen, as we see that JESUS had a MILITARY AGENDA.

This, I know does not sit well with ‘Christians’ around me. The fact is that JESUS WAS A WARRIOR. We cannot dismiss all the military implications related to the teachings of and about JESUS. It was JESUS role to lead the war and become the NEW KING.

We turn to the DEAD SEA SCROLL

“The kind of thing we are talking about, is a MESSIANIC MOVEMENT in PALESTINE that is much more aggressive, much more APOCALYPTIC, much more militant, and much more ‘this worldly orientated.’ A kind of army of GOD in camps along the DEAD SEA, or out in the wilderness, a group preparing for a final apocalyptic war against all evil on the EARTH”

What we must remember here is that the MESSIANIC AGE, the ROLE OF JESUS on the EARTH was to prepare the world as the KINGDOM OF GOD or THE WORLD TO COME . . . . we will find more clarity on this later

Remember, JESUS was a highly intelligent man. He knew from the start that time was not on his side. He needed to accelerate the ‘END OF THE AGE.’ But he also had to try and protect himself from this ‘crazy’ enemy, who had already attempted to cut down one PILLAR

We see JESUS appoints personal bodyguards to protect himself. He follows a policy of ‘moving around’ with only brief stays in any one place. His five principle ‘minders’ or bodyguards were JAMES and JOHN, whom he calls, sons of thunder. SIMON, number ONE whom he called the ZEALOT. SIMON was referred to as ‘the terrorist’ (barjona) and JUDAS ‘the knife-man’ (sicarius) – none of them were peacemakers, as reported, JESUS tells them to sell their clothes to buy weapons, and their reply was “that they were already of swords.”

The two most important requirement for the success of JESUS’ plan were more followers and more funding, if he were ever to sit at the throne of JERUSALEM, both would have to be in place and quickly.

The priesthood in JERUSALEM was already rich, selling membership of the JEWISH RELIGION TO GENTILES around the ROMAN EMPIRE, giving them a stone from the JORDAN RIVER in exchange for enormous amounts of money. He had to unseat these people.

His first idea was a stroke of genius but caused panic and outrage in the QUMRAN COMMUNITY. He started “raising” common people to the status of a FIRST-YEAR QUMRAN INITIATE all over. Worse still, he unilaterally ‘resurrected’ many of his closest followers to the highest level, giving them the SECRETS OF MOSES. . .

“The BIBLE indicates that JESUS had an ELITE THAT HELD SPECIAL SECRETS”

From the very beginning of JESUS’ MINISTRY there seems to have been an INNER CIRCLE OF JESUS’ closest followers with whom he had shared ‘SPECIAL SECRETS.’ Some observers have detected three additional layers:-

1. THE PREMIER TEAM – a group made up of less intimate followers that included family and well-disposed acquaintances – to whom the SECRETS had not been revealed
2. THE OUTSIDERS – the indifferent or hostile people of the surrounding ‘world’
3. THE SELECT FEW – who clearly was a SECRET MYSTERY – and we wonder WHAT THAT SECRET WAS

We find that the GOSPELS GOT TO GIVE US THE ANSWER. . . . JESUS’s first miracle was to turn water into wine at the wedding at CANA. We know that this was JESUS’s first attempt at ‘recruitment’ outside the COMMUNITY, at what must have been a substantial gathering. It was discovered that the term ‘turning water into wine’ was a common parlance, equivalent to the English expression ‘making a silk purse out of a sow’s ear’

In this context, it really referred to JESUS using BAPTISM to turn batches of ‘ordinary’ people into those fit to enter into the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, in preparation for the ‘END OF THE AGE’ – In QUMRANIAN terminology the uninstructed were the ‘water’ and the trained and refined were the ‘wine.’

We also get to understand that the QUMRAN COMMUNITY believed religiously that ‘life’ could only happen in the COMMUNITY and according to some Jews, it could only occur in the land of Palestine if it were freed from ROMAN RULE. Anybody else, other ‘sects’ were religiously ‘dead’ The QUMRANIAN COMMUNITY used simulated ‘resurrection’ as a means of admittance to the ‘Third Degree’ of the ‘sect.’ It has been indisputably established from the DEAD SEA SCROLLS that they viewed those outside their order as the ‘dead.’ It was becoming perfectly clear from the NEW TESTAMENT that JESUS can be seen to have used exactly the same techniques. When he made someone a general member of this splinter ‘cult’ of the QUMRANIAN SECT, when he ‘turned water’ into wine and when he ‘initiated’ a new candidate into his core group, they were then ‘raised from the dead’.

This two-tier structure was recorded by the early ‘Christians,’ who said that JESUS offered simple teachings to ‘the many’ but gave a secret teaching to ‘the few’

The resurrection initiation to bring people in from the ‘dead’ was called being ‘raised’ or ‘standing up.’

It was reversible for those who contravened the rules of the ‘sect’ which was, quite logically, called being ‘buried’ or ‘falling down’

A classic example of this process we found in the NEW TESTAMENT.

The story of ANANIAS and SAPPHIRA, who were members of the ‘sect’ at the time of the crisis after the CRUCIFIXION –

“James ordered that as much money as possible had to be raised to organise the defence of the ‘sect,’ and every member of the INNER GROUP was required to sell any land or property they owned and to give the proceeds to CENTRAL FUNDS (the makings of some of churches which following this period of confusion in ISRAEL under the then control of the ROMANS)”

When it was discovered that ANANIAS and his wife SAPPHIRA had made their sale but had kept back some of the money for themselves. They were each, in turn, brought before PETER, who decided to make an example of the pair to dissuade others from similar ‘thoughts’ (Acts 5:1 -11) In the beginning I said:-

“UNDERSTANDING THE TERMINOLOGY OF THE ‘PERIOD”
“IS VITAL WHEN READING THE BIBLE OR GOD’S WORD”

And so, for those that read the BIBLE without the understanding of the TERMINOLOGY of the PERIOD, GOD murdered a husband and his wife, using supernatural powers, because they had not supported HIS CHOSEN GROUP quite fervently enough.

This portrays a GOD as partial and vicious. This is vastly different from the GOD OF LOVE and FORGIVENESS promoted by JESUS.

However, once we get to understand the procedures of the QUMRAN COMMUNITY / CHURCH we can see this for what it was: a disciplinary hearing that resulted in the two members being ‘thrown out.’ i.e., sent amongst the ‘dead’ – further we need to understand that the term ‘young men’ is reference to ‘novices’ – opposite to ‘elder.’
